Review methodology

Yupoo Tips / Review methodology

Step 1: Selection. We pick items that readers ask about or that fill a gap in our existing comparison tables. We note the album, the SKU and the listed measurements before ordering.

Step 2: Order and timing. We place the order through the public checkout, record the date and order number, and time each stage: seller dispatch to warehouse, warehouse intake, QC photo release, our QC approval, and parcel transit. Anything above the route's typical window gets flagged.

Step 3: QC set review. We compare the warehouse QC photos against the album photos and note discrepancies in colour, logo placement, stitching, print alignment and hardware finish. We keep the QC set on file.

Step 4: Bench inspection. On arrival we photograph the packaging, then the item, under two light temperatures. We weigh it, measure it with a 1 mm tape, check seam density with a seam gauge, and test zips, buttons and drawcords through ten full cycles.

Step 5: Fit check. Where relevant, two members of the desk try the item against the listed size chart. We record shoulder, chest, body length, sleeve, waist, inseam and outsole, and we flag any gap above 1 cm between listed and delivered numbers.

Step 6: Wear and wash. Apparel is worn across five days of normal use and washed according to the care label twice. We record shrinkage, colour bleed, print cracking and hardware tarnish.

Step 7: Scoring. We score on the five-point scale, always written X / 5, with 5 excellent and 1 very poor. Scores may occupy the full 1 to 5 scale. Sub-scores are kept for materials, construction, fit accuracy, QC match and route reliability, and the final score is a weighted read of those, not a simple average.

Step 8: Publication and reassessment. We publish the measurement table alongside the score. A changed listing, batch or QC finding calls for another check; a reassessment carries its date and explains what changed.

Scope of the findings

The review identifies the relevant album, SKU, QC set, lighting conditions and tested size. It states the sample count and distinguishes the listed figure from the bench measurement; route timing belongs to the observed order.
